Piazza Transalpina vista dall'interno della stazione ferroviaria. Dal 2004, in vista dell'entrata della Slovenia nell'Unione Europea a fine 2007,
e' stato rimosso il muro lasciando libera la circolazione all'interno del perimetro della piazza. Tuttavia, non e' possibile
entrare in Italia o in Slovenia attraverso la piazza ma e' necessario recarsi ad un valico per il controllo documenti.

Transalpina Square seen from the inside of the train station. In 2004, anticipating the entrance of Slovenia in the European Union,
the wall was removed and people were free to move inside the perimeter of the square. However, it was not possible
to enter in Italy or Slovenia through the square and it was still necessary to use one of the checkpoints and to show the passport.
